CHILDREN IN NEED OF SERVICES / FAMILES IN NEED OF SERVICES (CINS/FINS)

Children in Need of Services/Families in Need of Services (CINS/FINS) is a Family Diversion Program designed to strengthen families; equipping them with a better understanding of how to cope with life challenges. Youth participating in this program must be 6 to 17 years old. A program specific referral form is available for this program upon request.

  • Screenings
  • Intakes
  • Assessments
  • Individualized Service Plans
  • Case Management/Supportive Counseling
  • Home/ School/ Court/ Office Visits
  • Emergency Shelters
  • Service Linkage/ Referrals
  • Staffings and Family Team Meetings
  • Referral to State Attorney/ Filing of Petitions and Focus Groups

CRITERION & ELIGIBILITY

Children ages 6 – 17 who may have these issues:

  • Truancy
  • Runaway
  • Anger
  • Depression
  • School Related Issues
  • Lockout/ Homeless
  • Substance Abuse
  • Eating/ Sleeping Concerns
  • Divorce/ Marriage
  • Beyond Control
  • Relocation
  • Lying/ Stealing
  • Peer Issues
  • Violent/ Assaulting
  • With pending Charges (not yet charged)

Child is NOT eligible if:

  • Current verified DCF investigation for abuse, neglect, or abandonment
  • Open DJJ Case
  • Youth was court ordered into CINS/FINS Services
