Gov. Scott Appoints Six to Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council

A big congratulations to our Executive Director Dr. Rosby Glover for being appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council. We are excited and proud and can’t wait to see how you continue to impact lives in Florida! Dr. Glover is appointed for a term beginning August 1, 2017, and ending July 18, 2020.

A Message from Our Executive Director – 25th Anniversary Gala

Dear Friends:

Remember these three words….Trauma Informed Care! One of the most devastating issues in the Black community in particular and the entire community as a whole is the absence of Trauma Informed Care! For years we have been placing Band-Aids on the symptoms instead of addressing the underlying issue when families come to social service and mental health service professionals for help. Mount Bethel Human Services wants to change that by making us aware of the problem.

On May 18, 2018 one of the premier experts on this subject will be our guest speaker at our 25th Year Anniversary Gala, Tonier Cain! She is the Director of the National Center for Trauma Informed Care and if you’ve had the opportunity to hear this young lady’s story in the past, I know you will be there. If you are hearing her for the very first time, your understanding of this subject matter will increase exponentially. So join us on May 18, 2018, at the Urban League of Broward County to become enlightened, enthused and engaged!

Here’s a brief snippet of what you can expect:

Thanks for your support as we provide help, hope and healing to those who need it the most!

Dr. Rosby L. Glover,

Executive Director
